Important Announcement (11/01/09)
Due to money problems I am extending the date of the deadline to April 1st!
no this is not an april fools XD

There are alot of prizes i want to buy for you guys
however last month i had to spend alot of money on christmas presents
and this month alot on smart clothes for work/interviews ect.
and next month i need money to go to New York (thank god the exchange rate has gotten better)
soo
i am extending it so that you guys can get better prizes
which none of you should complain about
it also means there is more time for more people to enter
so get the word out pleasee
if for some god knows what reason you still need more time
still do let me know

anyway other then that just wanted you to know that i got two of the pokemon card trainer sets
they are awesome

i've taken pictures
which i will try to get online soon

Okay so I have finally decided to create this contest
I have been thinking about it for a long time and now is the time to do it
So here it is:
Your mission:
-Is to design yourself as a Pokemon trainer (if you really want you can just design a Pokemon trainer)
- You could either do a reference sheet or just draw them in like a pose or scene with their Pokemon
-By design I mean have a back-story to your trainer it doesn't have to be long just a short description of who they are and what they do, their favourite Pokemon their starter one ect.
-They also need to have his or her favourite or starter Pokemon with them-if your favourite Pokemon is mew or one that is very hard to get have it in your story how you got them
-The Pokemon can be your own (as in made up) if you really want, but then you may need to have a back story or description of the Pokemon as well
-You may use digital or traditional methods and also if you really want to you can use photography i.e cosplay as your character with the Pokemon


1st Place
-A Pokemon goodie bag including DS game Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time
-1 year subscription to dA
2nd Place
-A Pokemon goodie bag
-6 month dA subscription
3rd Place
-A Pokemon goodie bag
-3 month dA subscription

I will let you all know what is in the goodie bag as soon as i decide exactly (that will be soon don't worry)
There will also be more prizes depending on how many people enter
I may pay for some commissions from someone or something
And I may have runner up prizes ect.


-At the end of the contest the 1st place winner will decide which starter Pokemon they wish to have (Piplup, Turtwig, Chimchar) Then within the Pokemon goodie bag they will receive that Pokemon plushie as well as the DS game (:
-The 2nd will then choose from the remaining two and 3rd place will get the last one

Q. I can't draw very well do i still have a shot at winning?
A. Of course, its not about drawing ability its about the design of your character so please don't be discouraged to enter if you don't have confidence in your drawing skills

Q. Why are you doing this contest?
A. I've just dropped out of college and don't have much to do but work until i return to a different college in September '09
I thought this would be something for me to do and spend the extra money I will be making from getting a 2nd job

Q. How will you get the prizes to the winners?
A. I will be sending them by post (:

Q. What exactly are you judging?
A. I am judging the pictures on their design and creativity

Q. I'm in another country so if I win a prize how do I get the prize
A. I will send it to you by airmail no matter where you live (:

Q. Qhen you say to create a backstory for your character, is that something that would go in the artist's comments below the deviation?
A. Yes thats the easiest way some have put it in the deviation
but its alot easier to read if its in the comments (:

Q. Can I design my own Pokemon
A. Of course! just could you have a back story to go with it (:
